About Us
We are a young couple in search of a different kind of lifestyle — what we’ve termed “New Ruralism”. We think this will prove to be a growing trend as young adults seek the best of both worlds: urban and rural.
Our generation has a distinct advantage to choose new lifestyle combinations thanks to the ability to work and live almost anywhere. We personally like one that idea of one that mixes urban and rural life. (And no, urban+rural doesn’t equal suburban life!).
This blog tracks our efforts moving from Manhattan to live in an 1860s stone cottage, renovate an 1890s Victorian, and redefine our lifestyle along the way.
